1. Scope of the warranty

Europrofil AB provides a warranty in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark covering the form, function, and performance of steel profiles and associated components in accordance with the terms of this product warranty.

The liability period is ten years from the date of delivery of the product and begins with a warranty period of five years. If the product is intended for a construction project that is to be inspected or delivered in some other way, the liability period and
warranty period are calculated from the date on which the construction project is approved. However, the liability period and warranty period for a product delivered to a construction project expire no later than eleven and six years, respectively, after delivery of the product.

Europrofil AB is responsible for defects that appear and are reported during the warranty period. However, for defects that appear after the warranty period, Europrofil AB is only responsible if the defect is significant and can be shown to be due to negligence on the part of Europrofil AB.

The warranty obligation entails an obligation for Europrofil AB to remedy any defects that arise during the warranty period. However, the warranty obligation does not entail an obligation for Europrofil AB to compensate for damage caused by defects.
